The Queen Tigress T-12 Maya and Male Tiger Rudra in Moharli Gate Tadoba National Park

The Queen Tigress Maya T-12 and Male Tiger Rudra in  Moharli Gate Tadoba National Park

In the Tadoba National Park, Rudra and Maya, a male and female tiger respectively, have been observed mating, with Maya also mating with other males, including Matkasur, Tala, Mowgli, and even Balram, while also caring for her cub. This behavior, where a tigress mates with multiple males, is believed to be a strategy to reduce the risk of her cubs being killed by other males who might perceive them as rivals. Maya has delivered multiple litters of cubs since 2014, but some cubs have been tragically killed by other males, highlighting the challenges faced by tigers in Tadoba.

In the Tadoba National Park, Rudra, a powerful male tiger, and Maya, a well-known tigress, are significant figures. He is considered one of the dominant tigers in the park and has been involved in territorial disputes with other tigers. He has been seen patrolling his territory and is recognized as one of the larger male tigers in Tadoba

In wildlife photography, a habitat shot is a photograph that captures the environment where an animal lives. The purpose of a habitat shot is to provide context for the animal's behavior and to showcase its natural surroundings.

A good habitat shot will typically show the animal in its natural environment, such as a forest, savannah, or underwater. The photograph should include enough of the surroundings to give the viewer a sense of the animal's habitat, but not so much that the animal becomes lost in the background.

In addition to providing context, habitat shots can also be aesthetically pleasing. By capturing the beauty of the natural environment, photographers can create images that are both informative and visually striking.

To capture a good habitat shot, it is important to have a good understanding of the animal's behavior and habitat. This may require research and observation before taking the photograph. Additionally, photographers should pay attention to lighting and composition, as well as the animal's position within the frame.

Meet Tiger Rudra, One of the Most Powerful Tiger in the Core Zone of Tadoba
Rudra is a huge powerful tiger but so are his competitions. Tiger Yuvraj, Balram and at times Mogli are fighting to assert dominance over the territory as it has a large amount of prey and many tigresses.
The Huge territory was once controlled by the Mighty Matkasur alone but Rudra with his brother Tala pushed him out of the territory. That's a story we have explored before. But nor Rudra is in the same situation Matkasur was back then. Too many territorial fights will make the strongest tigers wary.
