Big Male Leopard Rana The King of Jhalana Leopard Reserve
n the thick hush of the twilight jungle, the air crackled with tension. Sunrays stretched long beneath ancient dhok trees, and a lone sambhar deer, muscles taut, ears twitching, sat frozen at the edge of a waterhole.
Across from it, a leopard emerged — a phantom of dappled gold and muscle, eyes molten with focus. Each step it took was a whisper of conflict, low to the ground, sizing up the young antler.
The sambhar's breath came in sharp bursts, nostrils flaring. It knew, a face off was imminent.
Time shrank.
The forest held its breath.
And I captured the moment when it all happened. Rana went along his way, leaving the deer with its heart pounding through the ribs.
